Provide First Aid (HLTAID011)

‍ About this course

‍Students completing this course will gain the skills and knowledge required to provide a first aid response to a casualty in line with first aid guidelines determined by the Australian Resuscitation Council (ARC) and other Australian national peak clinical bodies.

‍Units of competency

‍Upon completion of this course, the following unit(s) will be issued by ABC Licence Training Pty LTD – RTO 3399

  • ‍HLTAID009 – Provide cardiopulmonary resuscitation

  • HLTAID010 – Provide basic emergency life support

  • HLTAID011 – Provide First Aid‍ ‍

Course delivery

‍This course is offered as a face-to-face course. Pre-course online learning is required.

Course duration​

‍Pre-Course Online Learning 2 hours ‍ ‍

Face to Face minimum duration is 4.5 hours. ‍

Pre-requisites​

‍There are no formal prerequisite units required for entry into this course. Learners will require English language, literacy, and numeracy (LLN) skills.

‍Assessment requirements​

‍Assessment including CPR and First Aid techniques will be a requirement on training day.

‍Students will complete their theory assessment as part of their online leaning prior to the face-to-face training day. No pen and paper quizzes will be required on training day.

‍Course renewal requirements​

‍The statement of attainment is valid for 3 years*.

*Please note that the CPR component of the training is valid for 12 months and should be updated annually.
